Meadow Ridge Transforming to Better Meet Residents’ Needs

Transforming Senior Living Spaces Meadow Ridge

Today’s seniors are leading more active and engaged lives. As a result, they expect more out of their senior living communities. This often revolves around issues of choice – choices in fitness and wellness options, choices in dining venues, opportunities to learn new things and continue to enjoy vibrant social lives. As active seniors demand more control and engagement in their lives, innovative senior living communities are constantly looking for ways to upgrade and add more options.

Meadow Ridge is committed to continually offering our residents more, and better, options to live an independent life. To this end, we’ve recently transformed some of our spaces to better serve our residents.

A Warm Welcome

A New Dining Option

Group of seniors enjoying a mealWe know well the benefits of a healthy diet for seniors and studies have shown that seniors who eat together often have better nutrition habits that those who dine alone. So we’re dedicated to continually improving our selection of dining venues that prepare healthful, delicious gourmet meals.

This bright, art-filled space offers the same farm-to-table philosophy as our other dining venues. We’re proud to serve fresh, organic produce that is both grown on our very own resident-run farm as well as delivered fresh daily from local area farms. When the weather is nice, The Bistro also offers the option to eat outside on the adjoining patio, which features a spectacular view of the grounds.

“I find The Bistro a most welcome surprise! I was taken in by the atmosphere – the lovely light, the layout and the thought that has gone into the menus,” said resident Celie Rosenau. “It is beautifully designed. It is a very pleasant place in which to dine and to bring friends. The setup flows nicely. I look forward to dining there!”

Refreshed Atrium

Our atrium also received a revamp. This enchanting light-filled space featuring award-winning indoor landscaping and a tranquil koi pond functions as the hub of our community. It connects the four wings of the main building with easy access to The Bistro, auditorium and swimming pool.

Upgraded Sporting Areas

The popular Meadow Ridge croquet and bocce ball courts, as well as the putting green, were recently resurfaced so they can continue to offer opportunities for exercise, fresh air and, often, some spirited competitions.

A Playground for Pups

For our residents who understand the many benefits of owning of a pet, we’ve added a new dog park. This area offers a relaxing place for residents and their four-legged friends to socialize, exercise and get some fresh air.

“The new and updated spaces are wonderful and refreshing!” said Executive Director Michelle Bettigole.
