Where the Birds Are

The Audubon Center’s director, Leslie Kane, will share a presentation on the more than 40 species of native birds that flourish in our meadows, woods and around our pond.

After the talk, we’ll take a stroll and do a little birdwatching. Leslie will teach you how to identify our mascot, the meadowlark, and other backyard and rare species. You’ll also learn how to attract birds to your garden with native plantings.

The walk will lead us past the resident-run farm, which supplies our kitchens with seasonal organic fruits and vegetables. You’ll meet Chef Seigel, who will create a sampling of farm-to-table hors d’oeuvres in case you’re feeling peckish.

Presentation followed by a stroll on the trails. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and refreshing beverages served. Come to this event and learn how you could feather your own well-appointed nest at Meadow Ridge.
