According to Meadow Ridge’s Sales and Marketing Director, Ann Sertl, it is the residents themselves who make fitness a priority. “They want to keep fit and active to enjoy everything that we offer here, whether it’s the fitness center or yoga class, our saltwater pool where we have water aerobics or water Tai Chi classes,” explains Sertl.

The benefits continue to stack up, including the connections that residents make with each other, Sertl shared. “The lifelong friendships that they didn’t anticipate and the support that they give each other. It really feels like a community. It’s a great place to live. It’s a great place to work. It’s a happy place.”

Residents at Meadow Ridge enjoy an active lifestyle. The community includes hiking aficionados, a collection of pickleball players, and croquet enthusiasts, such as resident William Balch, 88. “It seems like a pretty simple game,” says Balch, “but there’s a lot of thought that goes into the next strike and the next tactics. And that’s a necessary thing when you get older.”
