Ridge Crest at Meadow Ridge Receives Center of Excellence Award
Meadow Ridge, a Benchmark continuing care retirement community, recently received a Center of Excellence in Wound Management award from Wound Care Specialists for providing outstanding wound care for its residents in the skilled nursing and rehabilitation wing, Ridge Crest. Wound Care Specialists, a physician-led, post-acute and long-term care medical practice that provides wound management services, created its Wound Program of Excellence and Wound Program of Distinction to identify post-acute care client skilled nursing facilities that demonstrate outstanding wound management performance and continued superiority in wound healing.
Ridge Crest’s receipt of the Center of Excellence in Wound Management award is a testament to their strong care team, including wound care nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and dieticians, who have shown consistent dedication to the Ridge Crest community with their attention to patient needs and compassion. Ridge Crest also received the Center of Distinction award in 2021.

Additionally, Ridge Crest was recently selected as a U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home, and was among 11 out of 208 nursing homes in Connecticut that received a 5-star rating. Ridge Crest received a high-performance rating for both its short- and long-term rehabilitation.
Ridge Crest is part of a continuum of care offered on the Meadow Ridge campus. The facility offers comprehensive treatment plans to both residents and non-residents, including diabetes management, stroke recovery, joint replacement rehabilitation, hospice care, occupational and respiratory therapy, dementia care, and more.
