Kate Martinson
Role and Responsibilities
Kate Martinson, Director of Resident Services at Meadow Ridge, leads the concierge team and serves as the central point of contact for all resident services. She assists residents with a wide range of needs, provides information about the community and local attractions, handles special requests and helps resolve issues. Kate is dedicated to anticipating and meeting resident needs efficiently, professionally and with a personal touch.
Passion for Senior Living
“Growing up, my mother worked as a nurse in a senior living community, and I often visited, getting to know her coworkers and the residents. I loved it so much that I worked there as a receptionist while going to school. I guess I’m a bit of an older soul—I truly enjoy talking with residents and have already met so many interesting and amazing people!”
Industry Expertise
Kate began her career at Duracell Batteries as an administrative assistant, later becoming facilities coordinator. After 12 years, she transitioned to healthcare, supporting a psychiatric nurse practitioner for nearly 20 years. Following that, she devoted two years to caring for her mother full-time.
Leadership Philosophy
“I lead by example, communicate openly and honestly and set clear, achievable goals. I believe in always being polite, courteous and respectful. When you value your employees—recognize their strengths, you lift them up and empower them—you create an environment where everyone can be their best,” says Kate.
Personal Interests
Kate enjoys relaxing by her pool while watching birds during the warmer months, family Sundays filled with football, cooking and sewing.
