As Meadow Ridge’s healthcare administrator, Carla Dunford leads with expertise and dedication. She assumes responsibility for overseeing operations within the Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing neighborhood. Carla’s unwavering commitment to a customer service-oriented approach ensures that residents and their families receive personalized care and support tailored to their unique needs.
Resident relations is what she loves most about her job. It’s gratifying to have people transfer to Ridge Crest from the hospital and “seeing the potential for what the team can do for them.”

A licensed nursing healthcare administrator with over 20 years of invaluable experience in the senior living industry, Carla brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her role.
Passion for Senior Care
Coming to Ridge Crest for Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing services, “can be a life-changing event,” she says. “The family has to learn to adjust and keep their loved ones as independent as possible.
Carla’s passion for senior care is palpable in every aspect of her work. She is driven by a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for residents and their families, guiding them through the challenges and triumphs of the aging process with empathy and compassion.
Career Journey
After graduating from college with a degree in criminal justice, a career she didn’t enjoy, she worked for Medicaid and then transitioned to senior living, a career she is not only good at but that she enjoys as well.
Milestones
Carla pursued her bachelor’s degree at Pace University in New York City.

Carla’s leadership philosophy revolves around fostering a culture of excellence, empathy and collaboration within the Meadow Ridge community. She believes in the power of effective communication and teamwork in delivering exceptional care and creating an environment where residents and staff alike feel valued and supported.
Personal Interests
Carla enjoys cheering on her children – at her son’s football games and her daughter’s competitive dance competitions. In addition, she spends time with her close circle of friends and a new puppy that helps keep her busy.
