Carla Dunford

Carla Dunford has worked in senior living for over 20 years, bringing skill and experience to her role as healthcare administrator at Ridge Crest.

Carla oversees operations at the Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing neighborhood, including payroll, admissions and social services.

A licensed nursing healthcare administrator, her role is customer service oriented, meaning she spends much of her time interacting with residents and their families.

Coming to Ridge Crest for Rehabilitation or Skilled Nursing services “can be a life-changing event,” she says. “The family has to learn to adjust and keep their loved one as independent as possible.”

Resident relations is what she loves most about her job. It’s gratifying to have people transfer to Ridge Crest from the hospital and “seeing the potential of what the team can do for them.”

Carla received her bachelor’s degree from Pace University in New York City. While she received her degree in criminal justice, it wasn’t something she enjoyed. After working for a while at Medicaid, she moved to the senior living industry, a career she’s not only good at, but enjoys, as well.

Carla likes to spend time with her two teens, attending her son’s football games and her daughter’s competitive dance competitions. In addition, she spends time with her circle of friends and a new puppy that helps keep her busy.
