Patrick Boelens
Role and Responsibilities
As plant operations director at Meadow Ridge, Patrick Boelens cares for Meadow Ridge’s entire physical environment, from the rooftops to the grounds. He leads a department of more than 50 employees who maintain the buildings, apartment homes and common areas and provide housekeeping services throughout the community.
Patrick understands that the environment his team creates has a direct impact on residents’ comfort, well-being and daily lives.
Industry Experience
Patrick brings more than 15 years of experience in residential facility management. Before joining Meadow Ridge, he worked at Emerald Peek Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in New York and the United States Military Academy at West Point. He credits his time at West Point with deepening his understanding of what it takes to create a welcoming residential experience.
Passion for Senior Care
Patrick has found his work at Meadow Ridge especially rewarding, thanks in large part to the warm and welcoming environment at the community. “Everyone here is so kind,” he says. “Residents I haven’t met before will stop me in the hallway, tell me how glad they are to have me here and ask about my time at West Point.”
Milestones
Patrick served in the United States Marine Corps and earned an associate degree from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. He sees his role at Meadow Ridge as the pinnacle of his career. “When I think about where my career has been leading, I believe this is it,” he says.
Leadership Philosophy
Patrick describes his leadership style as collaborative and persuasive—an approach shaped by his time in the Marine Corps. With an open-door policy, he makes it a priority to get to know his employees, understand their needs and give them the support they need to succeed.
Personal Interests
Away from work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family. His children range in age from 6 to 29, and five of his six children still live at home, keeping family life active and full. “We spend a lot of time together,” he says. “We like to get the kids out of the house and keep them active.”
